"This would penalize": 'Pasapalabra' changes the rules of one of its most emblematic tests

Those who have followed Pasapalabra for years know perfectly the beginning, middle and end as if it were a movie. However, in recent years small changes have been included, mainly after its jump from Telecinco to Antena 3 Televisión. One of them and that was announced this Monday was the radical change in one of its most emblematic tests.

In this case, Roberto Leal explained to the contestants how the famous Letter Soup will be developed from now on, which was incorporated into the contest in 2018, when it was broadcast on the main Mediaset channel. The change is important, since, as the presenter confirmed, not following the new rule of the game would result in a penalty.

Pasapalabra continues throughout the summer. In other words, no vacations will be taken as far as issuance is concerned. In fact, this Monday the contest came loaded with two novelties. The first, the new panel of famous guests made up of Alicia Borrachero, Ricky Merino, Elena Ballesteros and Iván Sánchez. And the second, had to do with a modification.

As Roberto Leal has explained when the time comes, the Word Search test modifies its mechanics with new rules that will prevent contestants from getting ahead of themselves to give the correct answer. "I want to announce something to both teams," the presenter began by saying.

"The rules are the same as always, but we are going to have a small change to prevent, at any given moment, some of the contestants from being able to get ahead," continued Leal. "That is to say, if we are, for example, playing with Alicia and Moisés or Ricky comes forward, that panel that is being played is completely cancelled, and I will have to say the remaining words and we will move on to the next contestant", specified the Andalusian .

“Therefore, this is how we prevent anyone from getting ahead of themselves. Because this would really penalize, because we are going to lose a few seconds there and on top of that we will have one less panel to play, okay?" Leal concluded with the explanation, before starting the test.

It should be remembered that, in Sopa de Letras, a test incorporated since its time on Telecinco in 2018, sometimes it happens that someone speaks before their partner has made a mistake or passed a word. In this way, the participants will have to be more careful to avoid suffering this penalty. In fact, this Monday all the contestants have strictly followed the new rule.
