Last week, the Central Operational Unit of the Civil Guard (UCO) sent the investigative judge in the case of Esther López the last report, the definitive one, with more than 400 pages, where it argues with images how the accident occurred. young man and the degree of involvement of the main suspect Óscar.
This Tuesday, Code 10 exclusively revealed the images of the reconstruction made by the investigators where it is clearly seen how the accident occurred and the speed at which both the victim and his alleged murderer were traveling at the time of the incident. The chronology of events with these images is even more illuminating.
On January 13, 2022, Esther López was last seen in the Valladolid town of Traspinedo and found dead on February 5 in a ditch. According to the evidence collected, initially everything pointed to an accident. However, the investigation carried out by the UCO determined that there were three suspects, one of them, Óscar, the last person who said he saw her alive.
Since then, agents have worked frantically to prove the extent of the suspect's involvement in Esther's death. In fact, last week the Civil Guard presented its latest report to the judge, which led the magistrate to require a new statement from Óscar for next December 15. On three occasions he has changed his version of what happened on the night of the car.
However, the Civil Guard is clear that Óscar attacked Esther and then went home, took the car and came back to run her over. Now, Code 10 has exclusively accessed the images of the reconstruction made by the investigators where it is clearly seen how the young woman was run over.
To do this, the UCO has collaborated with the traffic accident reconstruction team of the Civil Guard, which has put all the data from Óscar's car into a computer program (the dents on the vehicle to compare them with Esther's injuries) and thus make a chronology of the accident.
According to this report, Óscar allegedly hits Esther's right side in the left buttock, as can be seen in the images broadcast by the Cuatro events program. This reconstruction makes it easier to understand the facts and how everything happened. And the accident was not accidental, since everything seems to indicate that Esther López was not wearing dark clothing and her car had its lights on.
Among the data to highlight is that the young woman was walking at a speed of 4.7km/h, while the car that hit her and which presumably belongs to Óscar was traveling at a speed of 45km/h. Likewise, the report details the chronology of the events until the accident occurred.
The report indicates that Óscar and Esther had a disagreement inside his home, then the young woman left and Óscar followed her on foot. Then, according to the report, the first attack occurred, although Esther, a little dazed, was able to continue walking.
According to the UCO investigation, Óscar went to his house and it was at that moment that he went to where Esther was and intentionally ran over her.
How did they come to this conclusion? Because the height of the front of the vehicle coincides with the height of the injury that Esther López had. After her attack, the young woman was left “helpless and at the mercy of her attacker.”
Óscar transported the victim in his car “still with vital signs, leaving her to die without providing any kind of assistance” in the ditch where she was found 25 days later. For this reason, Óscar would be the alleged perpetrator of a homicide.
