The uncomfortable moment that Alejandro Sanz experienced on stage at the Latin Grammy 2023

The celebration of the 2023 Latin Grammy Awards gala in Seville has caused a lot of talk in the media and social networks in recent hours. The important event, which was held for the first time outside the United States, took place yesterday in the Andalusian capital and brought together notable artists from the international music scene.

If we talk about the big winners of the night, we inevitably have to name the singer from Barranquilla Shakira, the also Colombian Karol G and the Mexican artist Natalia Lafourcade, since all of them won three awards. On the other hand, if we talk about social prominence, attention focused on the former couple formed by Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro and the Madrid singer Alejandro Sanz.

While Rauw Alejandro chose to cover a heartfelt song by Laura Pausini (Se fue), Rosalía chose one of the saddest heartbreak songs in Spanish music: Se nos roto el amor, by Rocío Jurado.

For his part, Alejandro Sanz performed one of his most iconic tracks: Corazón Partío. The Madrid native released this song in 1997 and, 26 years later, it remains one of the great songs of Spanish musical culture.

There was great expectation for Sanz's performance, since it had already been announced that a group of dancers would accompany him and that the staging would be a clear tribute to flamenco. However, the protagonist experienced an uncomfortable episode with the audience that clouded the enjoyment of the performance.

Before starting to sing, Sanz wanted to speak from the stage: ''Good evening, friends, tonight there are three things that make me feel especially proud: being Spanish, being a musician and being a member of the Latin Recording Academy' '. The singer was about to continue when, suddenly, the audience present in the stadium began chanting what appears to be the diminutive of the artist's name: ''Ale, Ale, Ale...''.

It is at that moment that the situation became very tense. Instead of thanking them for their cheers and support, Alejandro Sanz showed a very serious face and declared that now he would have to "start over" his speech. Some users on the Internet justify this uncomfortable situation with the theory that the audience was not shouting "Ale", but rather "pay up" for the problems that the musician has had lately with the Treasury.
