As reported by The Mirror, the center informed Kensington Palace "immediately after being informed of the incident" and they put all their efforts to clarify what happened. "We can confirm that we have received a report of a breach and are evaluating the information provided," said the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
And, despite The London Clinic's willingness to find those who have supposedly tried to leak the documents, it could cost the hospital itself dearly. And he faces a possible fine of 20 million euros.
"A very large sum, I think up to 17 million pounds or 4% of the organization's annual global turnover," said data protection law breach expert Iain Wilson in The Sun newspaper. And this has meant a failure in its security that could diminish the prestige of the hospital complex and could generate a million-dollar lethal loss for its operation.
"This is a serious security breach which is incredibly damaging for the hospital, given its impeccable reputation for treating members of the royal family," reported the Daily Mirror.
