The manicure with which Kate Middleton breaks royal protocol

The British Royal Family lived its first Easter mass this Sunday without the presence of Queen Elizabeth II. For the first time as a monarch, King Carlos III presided over the religious service held in the chapel of San Jorge. Along with him were several members of his family, including Kate Middleton, who caused a sensation with her look.

For the occasion, the Princess of Wales recovered the elegant coat dressed in cobalt blue by Catherine Walker, one of her favorite designers, which stylized her silhouette and which she wore with a headdress in the same tone by Lock.

But there was a detail of her look that drew special attention. Prince William's wife surprised with the tone of her manicure, a vibrant red with which she broke with the strict protocol of the British Royal House.

During the reign of Elizabeth II, there was a harsh dress code that prohibited the women of the family from wearing wedge shoes, miniskirts or strident shades on their nails.

Precisely, Meghan Markle complained about this protocol in her docuseries for Netflix, where she showed her frustration at not knowing how to dress and what colors to wear to adhere to the regulations.

After the death of the Queen last September, everything indicates that King Carlos III has softened this protocol to mark the beginning of a new era for the Royal Family. It should be noted that Middleton had used more intense colors for his toenails, but this was the first time he had dared with a red manicure.

It will be next Saturday, May 6, when the coronation of the new Kings will be held, an event in which the Princess of Wales will surely dazzle again with her styling and her manicure.
