The experience of being sexually assaulted on the street is, without a doubt, one of the most terrifying situations that someone could experience. This type of assault poses serious threats to the physical and emotional safety of its victims, who are mostly women.
This nightmare has become a reality for Albanta San Román, an influencer who has decided to share her distressing experience through her Instagram account, in order to raise awareness among her followers.
"Telling this has not been easy at all, showing myself this vulnerable, in front of so many people, is not easy... but I do think it is important. Almost a week has passed and I am much calmer," the content creator begins by saying in her publication.
With a view to vindicating this injustice, Albanta has recounted his experience in detail: "It was ten at night, I was coming from a party. I was with my friends and my partner, and when we were walking down the street (...) I I took a couple of steps forward to wait for a traffic light"
"I was calmly waiting for the traffic light to turn green and a boy stood behind me and put his hand under my skirt (...) If that boy did that to me on a lighted street with people, would he? "What wouldn't you do to me if you found me at three in the morning in an alley alone?" asks the influencer.
The young woman also points out that she is afraid when she returns home at night, since as a result of this misfortune, public roads have stopped feeling safe for her: "Since this happened I have considered how I was dressed that day, or else "I should never walk home alone again," she says with a broken voice.
