A few days ago the shooting murder of Mallorcan chef David Peregrina and his wife Erika da Silva Santos in their restaurant located in the Brazilian city of Porto Seguro was known, an episode that has completely changed the life of his daughter, Andrea Peregrina.
The 26-year-old girl spoke with Julio Bastida for UltimaHora about the murder, where she explained that she does not know the reason for the shooting: “The worst of all is the desperation of not knowing what happened and why someone ended their lives.” ”, he assures.
On the other hand, she has highlighted the uncertainty in which both she and her family find themselves: "I have called the Spanish embassy in Brazil, the police and the authorities there several times, but they all tell me that they can't tell me anything." because the investigation is ongoing,” he noted.
The murdered man's daughter speaks of her father as a “wonderful person” and as a good father, in addition to explaining that he was “a friend of his friends and an animal activist. In fact, his best friend was his dog.”
However, Andrea also recognizes dark moments in the life of the deceased: “My father did bad things and I will not be the one to justify the crimes he committed. Everything bad he did was 15 years ago and he already paid for it. He didn't deserve to end up like this. “I can say that he entered prison as a good person and came out of it three times better,” he stated.
Regarding the reasons for his death, Andrea is not clear: “My father had a big project in hand: the construction of a hotel. He had been after it for years and, finally, on the 16th he was granted permission. I don't want to make movies, but the audio messages that my father sent me telling me the details of the project and its progress have disappeared,” he highlights.
