Rosalía gives clues about her wedding dress: the style and her favorite designer

Rosalía visited El Hormiguero this Monday night to talk about her new song Tuya. The Catalan artist exuded sympathy and naturalness in the space presented by Pablo Motos, where she talked about her Motomami world tour that has led her to perform in more than 15 countries. In addition, she was the protagonist of a fun hidden camera in which she posed as a waitress.

The singer explained to the presenter and the public that her latest single was inspired by Japanese music and reggaeton and that she did not hesitate to record the video clip in Japan as a love letter to the country. As she stated, Tokyo is a place that gives her a feeling of security and sensitivity, since "they put the community above the individual."

For the occasion, Rosalía opted for a look with a clear reference to the otaku aesthetic that she likes so much. She wore a shirt design from the Fendi autumn-winter 2023 collection that stood out for the sky blue maxi shirt and an off-white lace overlay camisole. She completed the look with heeled sandals and a striking hairstyle: a carefree low bun and a couple of loose front strands.

During the interview, the singer also made reference to her wedding with Rauw Alejandro. Pablo Motos asked her how her request had been. She was in Puerto Rico, specifically at the singer's grandmother's house. "She suddenly knelt down and asked me to marry him and I started to cry, of course (…) I feel very excited," she said excitedly.

The couple will say "yes, I want" once Rosalía finishes her world tour. Although she has not yet started with the preparations, the Catalan is clear about her signature that she will dress her on her big day. "I have a few dresses in storage, but a Vivienne Westwood dress I would like," she said.

With this choice, the interpreter of Saoko would enter the club of famous brides who have dressed in one of the modern and iconic designs of Vivienne Westwood, the great lady of British fashion and punk who died last December, who stand out for its draped neckline and its marked waist with volume at the hip. An unmistakable silhouette worn by Carrie Bradshaw on the day of her failed wedding to Mr. Big, in the first Sex and the City movie (2008).

The writer wore a spectacular dress with an ivory silk satin bodice and white silk taffeta skirt that was part of Westwood's winter 2007-2008 collection. A design that the viewer will see again this year in the second season of And Just Like That…, which premieres on June 22.

Dita von Teese or Marta Sánchez were also Westwood girlfriends at the time. A list that was added in 2018 by Miley Cyrus, who chose a champagne-colored design from the British to say "yes, I want" to Liam Hemsworth. The Flowers interpreter was radiant in a dress with the characteristic draped neckline and play of volumes on the hips.

Three years ago, Rosalía already opted for one of the British designer's garments, specifically, for one of her mythical corsets to record TKN with Travis Scott. Specifically, she wore a mustard yellow design, with a velvety appearance, combined with a long-sleeved printed T-shirt and leather pants.
