Bad news for the dental industry: renowned dentist Rafael Puglisi died this Monday at the young age of 35. The family has made it public through a statement in honor of the "celebrity dentist."
The young Brazilian died due to an accident in the pool of his home, located in Barueri, Sao Paulo (Brazil). As his family has detailed, the dentist suffered severe head trauma after his head hit the bottom of the surface, and doctors were unable to save him.
In the statement, his loved ones write: “We are in mourning. This morning Rafa went swimming in the morning, as usual, she was at home getting ready to get into her pool and jump in, like she does every day! But today, God wanted this dive to be different and Rafa ended up hitting his head! The doctors tried to resuscitate him, but unfortunately he arrived dead at the hospital.”
Puglisi would have suffered "a severe head trauma after his head hit the bottom of the surface. Doctors could do nothing to save his life," part of the statement states.
Hundreds of the dentist's acquaintances have traveled to the funeral chapel to say goodbye to the deceased, who will be buried in the Morumbi cemetery.
The professional, known as "the famous dentist" had the most exclusive clients, such as Neymar, Rodrygo Goes, Jade Picon or Larissa Manoela, among others. In fact, the Real Madrid forward has expressed his condolences after the dentist's death: “I can't believe it. Rest in peace brother” Rodrygo writes on his social media.
