The Promise has returned to the small screen one more day with a most exciting episode. In the latest installment of the Spanish Television La 1 series, we have seen how Alonso's sadness affects the entire atmosphere in the palace, something for which Curro feels guilty.
Meanwhile, Jana and Curro have teamed up to devise a plan to lift Alonso's spirits, who seems mired in melancholy. On the other hand, Jimena continues fighting to reconcile with her husband, although all her efforts seem to be in vain. Desperate, the young woman turns to the help of Cruz and Alonso to try to rebuild their relationship, although both know that the situation is practically impossible to resolve.
Salvador persists in his idea of holding an unofficial ceremony, prompting Lope to intervene to stop him. With the help of Pía, they will try to put an end to the extravagant plans of María's fiancé. Finally, Jana has discovered a dark secret that Jimena has been hiding about her time at her parents' palace.
In the next episode of The Promise, Pelayo will reveal that Jerónimo has been murdered, news that causes great shock both among the lords and in the palace service. Sergeant Funes will be in charge of the investigation.
Abel will pressure Jimena to reveal the truth about her false pregnancy, something that the young woman opposes. In fact, Jimena's plan will consist of offering Manuel a deal: live in separate bedrooms inside the palace, so that they only act as an outside couple.
