Kim Kardashian confesses what really happened in the violent robbery she suffered in Paris in 2016

In 2016, the international press reported an event: Kim Kardashian had been the victim of a violent robbery while she was in her hotel room in Paris during Fashion Week in the French capital. As the socialite herself said, a group of men entered her hotel, where she was staying with her sister Kourtney, gagged her and threatened her at gunpoint.

The businesswoman could not help but fear for her life, thinking that they were going to be raped and murdered. This is what he told David Letterman in My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, stating that those "seven or eight minutes of torture" were the worst thing that has ever happened to him in his life. A testimony that Netflix is now recovering for the communicator's special program, where the reality star remembers through tears how she thought those were going to be the last moments of his life.

The businesswoman was staying at the Hôtel de Pourtalès during Paris Fashion Week with her older sister, from where they went to all the events and shows to which they were invited. One night, while she was alone and Kourtney was out for a walk around the city with her other sister Kendall Jenner; A group of masked men burst into her room, starting a truly nightmarish situation.

"They brought the janitor from the floor below, with his hands tied and pointing a gun at him. They were shouting at me in French and I couldn't help but get up," explains the socialite, saying that one of the masked men grabbed her and pulled her towards him. At that moment, the businesswoman was coming out of the bathroom, so she was wearing nothing but a bathrobe, which made her think that she was going to be raped by that man.

"I thought, 'OK, this is the moment. They're going to rape me. Deal with it, it's going to happen,'" she remembers telling herself, completely blocking out the situation. "I was kind of preparing myself." Furthermore, she remembers that she implored the janitor, still there tied up and with a gun pointed at his temple, to ask the thieves to spare his life for her family.

"I told her: 'Tell them that I have children, that I have babies, that I have a husband, I have a family, I have to come home,'" implored the socialite, mother at the time of North and Saint, aged three and two, fruit of her marriage to Kanye West.

However, the man did not sexually assault her. Quickly, they limited themselves to tying up her businesswoman, in addition to covering her eyes and mouth with duct tape. "Before they covered my eyes I saw that they had found my jewelry box and I was holding it up," she reveals.

Kardashian also remembers that one of the things that went through her mind was what her sister Kourtney would think when she found her body when she returned to her hotel. "I saw him with the gun and I said to myself, 'Ok, we've come this far.' All I could think about was Kourtney. I thought she was going to come and find me dead in the room," she recalls, worried. "She thought she was going to be traumatized for life if she saw me like that."

Simone Harouche, locked in the bathroom, called Pascal Duvier, in charge of the Kardashians' security in Paris and who at that moment was in a nightclub with Kourtney and Kendall Jenner, who ran to meet her.

Kourtney, present in the audience of the program along with the businesswomen's mother, Kris Jenner, could not help but get emotional while listening to Kim's testimony.

Luckily, Kim Kardashian did not suffer physical injuries during the robbery, but she is having a hard time recovering from the incident on an emotional level, suffering frequent anxiety attacks.

One of the criminals, Yunnis Abbas, also spoke about this matter, confessing that the group had planned the robbery for two years by reviewing Kim Kardashian's social media accounts to find out about her valuable belongings.

In 2022, the thief claimed not to feel a shred of regret for having stolen more than 10 million euros in jewelry from the socialite at gunpoint. "She was throwing away the money, and I was there to pick it up," he insisted, adding that not only did he not feel "guilty" for what the businesswoman might have felt, but he "didn't care" at all. Abbas spent two years in prison.
