Justice agrees with Lady Gaga: she should not pay the reward to the woman who found her lost dogs

Lady Gaga has been going through a judicial process for two years that is complicating her life. The singer had two of her French bulldogs stolen in Los Angeles while they were in the care of her walker, Ryan Fischer. During the kidnapping, the person in charge of walking the dogs suffered a shot that kept him between life and death.

Although the author of the shot was arrested and sentenced to 21 years in prison, the problems were not over for Gaga. A woman named Jennifer McBride returned her canine and claimed the $500,000 that the singer had put up as a reward. But everything took a turn when McBride was accused of being an accessory to the kidnapping. Even so, she decided to sue the actress to receive the promised money from her.

Months after the news of the lawsuit filed by McBride broke, a Los Angeles judge has dismissed it, agreeing with Lady Gaga. After this, the singer will not have to pay the half million euros that the woman claimed.

According to the TMZ portal, which has had access to the court documents, the magistrate found a major problem: Jennifer McBride was convicted in connection with the event. Therefore, accepting the lawsuit "would allow him to benefit from her admitted wrongdoing."

At the time of the kidnapping, Lady Gaga posted on her social media that she would give the reward to anyone who returned her dogs safely "no questions asked." At that very moment, McBride saw an opportunity to get the money, despite having connections to the kidnapping: she was dating the father of one of the robbers.

Although the woman accepts the words of the Bad Romance interpreter to get the reward, the judge has declared: "You cannot benefit from your own criminal act." Despite the resolution, the magistrate has opened a period of 20 days for McBride to appeal the lawsuit, although there is very little chance that she will get a ruling in her favor.

The woman received two years of probation for her relationship with the kidnapping, so it was highly unlikely that she would achieve her goal. As explained by the aforementioned medium, the district attorney, Michele Hanisee, was very convinced that McBride and the others involved in the event took advantage of her that "she was a white woman" to avoid suspicions around her.

Now, and waiting for the appeal that the plaintiff can file, Lady Gaga is much calmer, enjoying her day to day. The singer has reappeared through her social networks in some photographs in which she has shown herself completely natural, without a drop of makeup. It seems that she is excited about her next professional projects, which will have to do with a cosmetic brand.
