Jaime Cantizano, very hard on those who criticize surrogates: "Pregnant women feel insulted"

The recent maternity of the actress Ana García Obregón has once again put on the table the moral and ethical conflict that involves resorting to another person to have a biologically own child. Surrogacy is a prohibited practice in our country, but every year hundreds of families go to other territories where this way is legal to become parents.

In the case of Ana Obregón, the situation is even more complicated because the actress used the frozen semen of her deceased son, Aless Lequio, who died of cancer at the age of 27, to become an adoptive mother and biological grandmother to the 68 years of age.

Today the presenter of Por fin no es Lunes, Jaime Cantizano, who resorted to a surrogate to become a father in 2016, visited Espejo Público. The communicator carried out the process alone and now has a son named Leo who is the joy of his life.

After commenting on various points of the program such as the visit to our country of the emeritus king, Susanna Griso asked the journalist about his position regarding surrogacy and the issue of Ana Obregón, something that he assumed he would defend tooth and nail.

Gray was not wrong. Cantizano showed his support for this type of maternity hospital and explained his point of view. ''You have to be very careful with the language on this issue, especially by adults and minors. I believe that most of the people who have intervened (giving their opinion on the practice) do not know what the legislation in these countries establishes and the large number of guarantees that exist in the process,'' he explained under the watchful eye of the collaborators.

The journalist wanted to make it clear that the people who offer their bodies to gestate have a completely normal life and that in many cases, such as his, they maintain a relationship after the process, although not in an intimate way. ''Many pregnant women feel insulted because they have decided to take this step and help other couples,'' he exclaimed, visibly outraged.

The mythical presenter of Dónde Estás Corazón has also spoken about the statement that flies over surrogate pregnancy and that ensures that this practice is something typical of wealthy people: "There is another message that is being launched that it is 'a thing for the rich',... The vast majority are families from this country who have to take mortgages and who make an enormous effort to be able to create their families''.

Finally, Cantizano wanted to remind the audience of the importance of the use of the word, since in our country there are thousands of children who have been born through this route of 6, 7, 8, 9... years who can feel wrong due to bullying and tearing down those who oppose the practice.
