Isabelle Junot and Álvaro Falcó share images of their daughter Philippa's baptism

The Falcó family has been relatively busy over the last year. Last July, Tamara Falcó married Íñigo Onieva in what was considered one of the most notable weddings of the year. Just a month before, in June, Álvaro Falcó and Isabelle Junot celebrated the birth of their first daughter together, Philippa. An unforgettable day that continued this past weekend, with her baptism.

Through her Instagram profile, the French businesswoman has shared multiple images of the celebration, which took place in the strictest privacy and with several outstanding details. The ceremony took place in Madrid and had few guests as members of the Falcó family spread across the globe. Likewise, the mother highlighted the dress in which the little girl was baptized, passed from generation to generation.

“Here with the star of the night! It is practically impossible to organize such an event since my family is each in a different corner of the world. But this Saturday we were able to (finally) celebrate our little Philippa (in the dress in which I, my brothers, my mother, and grandfather were baptized, sent from Denmark!) with an intimate ceremony, surrounded by lots of love and laughter (and some sugar almonds that practically only I ate, for a change), he said.

This last detail constitutes the baptism gift that was distributed among the guests, and which in Junot's own words did not quite take hold at the venue. However, important people from her inner circle were present. Despite the positivity emitted by the event, the nine-month delay ended up caused by a heartfelt loss: that of Marta Chávarri, Álvaro's mother, last July.

“She was in a magnificent moment, she was very excited about her granddaughter, she was physically well, mentally phenomenal,” explained the son in his first statements after what happened, also excusing his cousin Tamara Falcó for her absence, which occurred the same month of his wedding with Onieva: “The poor thing wanted to come at all costs, but I think in the end it will be impossible. She caught him on a honeymoon trip and we understand it perfectly.”

“Given that she had had depression in recent years, there was no information about the cause of her death. They tell me that she has died from a cerebral infarction, Marta Chávarri has had severe headaches for a few days. The curious thing is that her mother also died very young due to this illness or situation,” Paloma Barrientos explained at the time, uncovering doubts about her death.
