Irene Villa's father is urgently admitted to the hospital due to acute biliary pancreatitis

“The Miracle of Christmas.” The doctors and family of Luis Alfonso Villa, father of the journalist Irene Villa, trust in this, who shared through his Instagram account that they were experiencing moments of maximum concern after the head of the family was admitted to the hospital due to acute biliary pancreatitis.

An illness that led Villa to be urgently admitted to the ICU of the Gómez Ulla Central Hospital of La Defensa on December 22, when he complained of respiratory problems. On Christmas Day, the journalist's father was due to be sedated, and he has remained that way since then.

“Daddy, your seven grandchildren, friends, family, your two daughters and your dog Mia, we are sending you all our energy so that you can overcome this new setback,” the journalist writes in an emotional publication dedicated to her father, in which she also shares several images of Luis Alfonso with his entire family.

“They did not want to give us false hope, this episode is hard: acute biliary pancreatitis, respiratory problems. With everything you have been overcoming, it is quite serious and the statistics are alarming, but as your grandson Carlos says: “Statistics don't suit us, what is the probability of surviving a bomb? You did it and Grandpa will survive too.” They are clear about it. They trust. One more time. A new miracle. The miracle of Christmas”, concludes the journalist.

“Seeing yourself intubated and sedated in the ICU is the most difficult. However, your face full of peace gives me a lot of hope,” he concludes, but not before adding that “I love you daddy!” Keep fighting!".

“They have told us that it is very serious,” explained the journalist, in statements to El Español on December 25. “Both my family and I are waiting for the miracle of Christmas,” she reiterated.

Luck has smiled on them, since Luis Alfonso was extubated shortly after Christmas. His situation continues to be “very weak,” but his prognosis is optimistic. “These 48 hours are crucial,” the journalist revealed to the aforementioned newspaper.
