Hugh Jackman asks his fans for help to make the dream of a blind boy come true on his first day of school

Hugh Jackman is one of the most popular actors in Hollywood, but not just on the big screen; the interpreter has managed to win the hearts of his followers beyond the stage with his gestures of affection and support wherever he goes. The Australian is very loved by his fans, but especially by the little ones, to whom he dedicates much of his time.

Last Monday, the actor became the unbeatable hero of Ashton, an American child who suffers from septo-optic dysplasia (SOD) and severely affected vision, since he is practically blind. This disorder makes him very nervous when facing his first day of school, so his mother decided to write a letter on Instagram to ask for the collaboration of other parents at the school. What they didn't expect was that Hugh Jackman, the hero of his son, would intervene.

In the video, you can see the little boy walking through the empty school center, whose route he has been memorizing all summer to prepare for his first day.

"Ashton starts school on Wednesday and I just want him to make friends this year. Primary is a tough transition, and all I want is for him to feel included and part of the group with his peers and the other students at school." requested his mother, Hilda Dunford, in the open letter to the parents of the students of the center.

A message that reached Hugh Jackman, who reacted to the emotional video, shared it on his account and did not hesitate to ask his followers for help to put him in touch with Ashton's mother and thus be able to organize a meeting so that the actor could wish you a good first day of class.

Said and done, the magic of the Internet worked. "Ashton has always been excited about Hugh Jackman, I've written to him," he confirmed on his Instagram Stories, "If I could just go back in time and tell seven-year-old Ash that Hugh Jackman was going to contact him in the future... I don't know if Hugh has realized he has found one of his biggest fans."

Apparently, the boy is an unconditional fan of the actor, totally in love with his voice since he heard him interpret and sing as P.T. Barnum, his character in The Greatest Showman (2017). "He's super excited."

Last Tuesday, the emotional mother wanted to thank again how the Internet community has turned to her son, who has been filled with messages of love and support.

"It's beautiful what social media can do," Dunford writes, "I'm able to raise awareness and share Ashton's story, and now his dream of meeting Hugh Jackman - a dream he's had since he was little - will come true." .
