Daniela Rubio: "My parents give me the best advice because they always want the best for me"

Daniela Rubio is so young that we arranged this interview in the afternoon, when she leaves high school, and there is still no reliable biography: that if she was born in Barcelona, she is 25 years old, etc. She is amused, as a fifteen-year-old from Madrid, what people come to invent. However, with a talent of her magnitude, the day will inexorably come when she must face hoaxes, rumors, dimes and far-reaching bickering. Whether she ignores them or enters the rag, she will be in her hand; she doesn't want to anticipate.

Talent but also trajectory: Presumed guilty, The hunt: Monteperdido, Acacias 38 and Cuéntame are series of success and undeniable reputation that preceded her entry as a new student in El internado: Las Cumbres, the second era of a fiction in which Úrsula Corberó shone , Martiño Rivas, Blanca Suárez, Yon González and Maxi Iglesias, among others. And in so few calendar pages she has been able to shoot three films: The influence, Whose skin is yours, What a vacation! and she works in the fourth. Daniela is a meteorite.

The young woman still savors the luck of having worked on ¡Vaya vacaciones!, a comedy that is already one of the most watched Spanish films in the first half of 2023, and of sharing the scene with Tito Valverde: “How not to be happy, if it is what an actor! I hallucinated with the casting that I got for this film. As in all teams, a family is created, a pineapple but this time it was impressive, I learned a lot from them. It was a job with a lot of love.” In this comedy Daniela plays Carla, a girl in love with a classmate from high school. Fortunately, reality has long since made its way into fiction and what used to be exceptional, for 'teenagers' is part of their day to day.

"Carla is one more character and whether she likes a woman or a man is indifferent, I don't feel uncomfortable in any way and I assume that in my environment it won't mean anything important either, I'm not doing anything out of the ordinary." She does not feel it or hers, her high school classmates, explains the young woman. Not everything is lost.

In El internado: Las Cumbres, she is Adéle, a new French student, for whose role she had to get her act together with the language of Voltaire: “In the elective language subject, between French and German I chose German (laughs), so of course, no I had no idea of French and it was intense working on the pronunciation. Two days before the first sequence, I turned to my partner Claudia Riera, who helped me a lot; Without her I would not have been able to do the same”.

He acknowledges having felt vertigo when joining the cast of a series with such a glorious past and agrees with his character in his determination. “And she sees that she gets to moments where she self-destructs, but she keeps going. She never gives up, she doesn't wrinkle or throw in the towel. And I consider myself a person who fights until the end, until I achieve my goal”.

A person well advised in this more than incipient career by those who can most altruistically guide her: her parents. “They have given me the best advice in all areas of my life and now professionally too because they know me and they will always want the best for me. But I carry with me a conversation with Gracia Querejeta, with whom I was enormously lucky to coincide when I started; she treated me in a very nice way and she brought me very close to this world ”.
