The president of the municipal group of the PSC, Fernando Carrera, has taken advantage of the ordinary plenary session in May to denounce the situation of the Police Station of the Urban Guard, located in the Turó d'en Caritg and at the same time to criticize that the remodeling has begun by the councilor's office.
The equipment has been suffering from significant deficiencies for some time that affect the daily lives of the agents. Lack of air conditioning, old furniture, rooms in poor condition or even a coat of paint are urgent jobs that must be carried out.
Last fall, the municipal government announced an urgent investment of 1.5 million to improve the police station. "The surprise - as the PSC has been able to verify - has come now, because the works have begun to remodel the office of the security councilor," Juan Manuel Ruiz, with the installation of air conditioning units and parquet. “We are in favor of improving all spaces, but we find it inappropriate to start a remodeling in the councilman's office when the Police Station is falling apart,” Carrera added.
