Daniel Sancho made a decision while in prison that has changed everything

Two months ago, Spanish cook Daniel Sancho confessed to Thai authorities that he had murdered and dismembered a Colombian surgeon named Edwin Arrieta, with whom he had gone on vacation to the Asian country.

After two days of investigation, the local police ordered the Spaniard's provisional detention in Koh Samui prison until the trial. Since then, the accused has been locked up in said prison.

In recent weeks, a team of police officers has been in charge of investigating the case and has concluded that the son of actor Rodolfo Sancho must answer for a sentence of premeditated murder and concealment of the body.

These two crimes are those that the authorities have included in the report they have sent to the Prosecutor's Office, the body that must officially propose the sentence that the young Spaniard will face in the trial.

Although at first Daniel Sancho worked hand in hand with a lawyer from Thailand, who advised him to collaborate and reduce the sentence as much as possible, his strategy has changed in recent weeks, especially since he and his family decided to sign Marcos García Mountains.

The young man's decision to change his version before the Judge hearing the case is, according to his former lawyer Khun Anan, a risk that Sancho is taking and that could take its toll on him at trial. "If they do not change their legal strategy, he will be sentenced to the death penalty no matter what," explained the lawyer in an exclusive interview with the magazine dedicated to the social chronicle SEMANA.

"I warned him that if he insisted on falsifying reality to the judge, he would be in the red zone," said the jurist in the conversation with the aforementioned media. According to him, Sancho began to ''make absurd excuses'' after speaking with his family and with the team of lawyers who advised him from Spain.

The jurist explained to the tabloid magazine that he does not understand why Daniel gave different and opposite statements to the Judge and the Prosecutor in the case, something that does not make any sense: ''These statements will lead to an inevitable disaster on the day of trial." .

Faced with the latest twists in the businessman's defense, Anan decided to take a step back and get out of the case. Furthermore, he expressed to SEMANA that he had felt offended by the lawyer Marcos García Montes, who had laughed at his work.
