Criticism of Martha Stewart for using a piece of iceberg to cool her glass

Martha Stewart has made a powerful enemy, and it is nothing more and nothing less than the entire community of activists who fight the effects of climate change on a daily basis. The reason, that the millionaire businesswoman boasted as if nothing of using a piece of iceberg to have ice cubes to cool her glasses.

The businesswoman was enjoying a cruise from Iceland to the frigid waters of Greenland when she couldn't think of anything else but to share on Instagram that they had "caught a little iceberg for their cocktails" that night.

Stewart shared on his public Instagram profile a carousel of images in which he can be seen on board a Swan Hellenic company cruise ship, with a drink in his hand and very smiling at the small treasure found by his group, with the that apparently the businesswoman had gone out to visit the glaciers that are erected in the area.

Overjoyed, they all leave with glasses of champagne and, presumably, they would have taken a chunk of ice back to the yacht to use in their cocktails that evening.

A detail that has infuriated the defenders of the planet, who do not welcome the fact that the businesswoman boasts of this type of "feat" as if nothing had happened. Nor to ordinary users, who consider it in very bad taste to pose in this way given the situation we are experiencing at an ecological level on our planet, with fires everywhere and extremely high temperatures. "Honey, we need that ice to keep the water in the oceans," reminds one of her followers.

Others, for their part, downplayed the issue, assuring that it is "normal" in this type of excursions and that it is about pieces of ice that are floating in the water, without destroying the glaciers in the area. "Surely the critics would prefer that Martha used the water from that iceberg, bottled it, refrozen it in an electric freezer, and stored it for several days."

The businesswoman has not commented on the matter, except for making it clear that she is greatly enjoying a trip in which she is learning a lot about the Inuit, the indigenous community of the Arctic, and discovering new gastronomic proposals.

Those who have done so have been the company responsible for the cruise, Swan Hellenic, which has assured People that it complies with all the requirements and regulations demanded by local authorities in order to carry out its activity in the area.
