Conde-Pumpido was admitted "against his will" and "at the request of his parents"

Lawyer Cándido Conde-Pumpido Varela is not having a good time since he was accused a little over a week ago of having committed an alleged sexual assault. The son of the president of the Constitutional Court received a complaint from a young Brazilian woman who claimed that the lawyer raped her in her house.

After reviewing the security cameras in her home, the judge decreed that the images provided "distort the version given by the victim." Therefore, she released the lawyer without charge and rejected the Prosecutor's Office's request to file a restraining order. After what happened and several surreal episodes, Conde-Pumpido was admitted to a psychiatric hospital last Friday.

The Fiesta program exclusively released some images in which an ambulance and several police officers could be seen showing up at the home of Cándido Conde-Pumpido. "He has had another anxiety attack, they took him to the hospital yesterday because he has it again and he refuses to leave the home," they said.

Likewise, a possible self-inflicted attempt by the lawyer was put on the table. However, this Monday Isabel Rábago revealed the real reason for this entry in Let's see. "I have to say that there was no self-inflicted attempt. It was a complicated episode that started in the morning," she said.

The journalist was able to speak with the lawyer when he was already in the hospital and it was he himself who was able to confirm that "he was admitted against his will." After alerting that Conde-Pumpido had a mobile phone so that it could be removed, Rábago was able to confirm the facts.

"It is a non-voluntary admission at the request of his parents directly to a court in Madrid," he added. "His involuntary admission to a psychiatric unit is not due to an anxiety crisis, it is due to something much more complicated," she stated.

Furthermore, he has made it clear that the son of the president of the Constitutional Court is still hospitalized at this time, and that he is "under the supervision of the hospital and the court." It seems that his parents have decided that it was time to take action on the matter.

An admission that is due to a "mental health breakdown", but that is not the only one he has had in recent months. "This is not Cándido's first non-voluntary admission to the Ramón y Cajal. I know of four, the last two being public," the journalist said.
