Concha Velasco's son reveals the last moment he saw his happy mother

This past weekend, the world of acting woke up to one of the most tragic news in recent months: the death of Concha Velasco. The well-known actress died at the age of 84 on December 2 at the Puerta de Hierro Hospital in the Madrid municipality of Majadahonda, after two years retired from her beloved stages and fighting an illness.

The eternal "ye-yé girl" managed to conquer the hearts of millions of Spaniards thanks to her talent and charisma, becoming one of the most beloved and popular actresses in Spanish cinema. Those in charge of communicating the news were her children through a statement early on Saturday morning.

"We regret to inform that our mother, Concha Velasco, died today, Saturday the 2nd at 02:00 at the Puerta de Hierro Hospital in Majadahonda, having received the Holy Sacraments, as a result of a complication in her illness," stated the children of the artist.

Many famous faces from the current Spanish scene wanted to come to the burning chapel, installed in the La Latina Theater in Madrid to say their last goodbye to the great Concha Velasco and to give all their support to the Valladolid woman's family. Two days after her great loss, Manuel Velasco, one of the actress's children, went live on the Sonsoles Ónega program to reveal what her farewell to one of the most beloved artists in the country had been like.

''She was the best mother in the world. Good, generous, loving,'' declared Manuel Velasco. The actress's son assured that Concha Velasco was a great follower of the Antena 3 program and greatly appreciated the support that the presenter had always given to her mother. ''I'm managing to talk without crying, but this is an emotional roller coaster. I have buried two parents, Paco Marsó was a wonderful person, don't speak ill of him, he was a wonderful man, he didn't ruin anyone (...) Now I feel great because of the support I am receiving, but the downturn He will come within a week,'' he declared.

''On my birthday, Wednesday, you gave me a bouquet of flowers when I arrived at the residence, but you didn't broadcast the video until 7:30, when you have the social chronicle section. And she was angry because she had not come out of the business (...) She felt the love of the public when she saw on TV the beautiful tributes that you dedicated to her, '' she confessed.

''The last time I saw her smile really well, and it's not a joke, it was watching the moment of connection with Luis Temprano on TV in the room, she was super calm knowing that everyone remembered her birthday. "She knew how much everyone loved her," she claimed.
