Case Daniel Sancho: "That's life" finds bags of evidence of the crime in the trash

Three hours. That is the time it would have taken Daniel Sancho, according to his statement before the judge of the Koh Samui Provincial Court, to dismember the surgeon Edwin Arrieta. Statements that the Spaniard's family claims have been made under great emotional pressure, but which, at the same time, agree with the evidence collected by the Thai authorities.

In fact, throughout the afternoon of this Monday, Así es la vida, the program presented by Sandra Barneda on Telecinco, dedicated a large part of its space to reporting on crime. During that time, viewers witnessed an important exclusive: to see first-hand what the inside of the bungalow where the murder took place was like and, above all, discover the evidence found. The latter were discovered in the trash.

The arrest and provisional detention of Daniel Sancho, son of actor Rodolfo Sancho, is still on everyone's lips. In the last few hours, we have been able to listen to a conversation between the Spaniard and a compatriot journalist, in which the chef clarified the good treatment received by the Thai police, and even had words for his former girlfriend.

Later, his formal statement before the judge has come out where he confesses that it took him three hours to dismember Edwin Arrieta, the victim, and we have been able to see him ask for forgiveness before going to prison. All the Spanish media are invested in this bizarre case and, therefore, there are many television stations that already have special envoys at the crime scene to give a good account of everything.

One of the programs is Así es la vida, Sandra Barneda's magazine for Telecinco afternoons, which has not only been able to access bungalow B.6 of the Haad Salad Villa resort, in Salad Beach, where Daniel Sancho allegedly murdered and dismembered surgeon Edwin Arrieta, but also has exclusively shown an important discovery in the garbage of the aforementioned hotel complex.

These are the bags of evidence collected by the police. That is, everything that the investigators used during the searches carried out during the visual inspection of the room where the proven events occurred.

The reporter María Álvarez explained to Sandra Barneda how, despite the police cordon, they were able to access a private road that leads to the bungalows in this compound and find something unexpected: a garbage can with what was used during the search and reconstruction of the crime of Edwin Arrieta allegedly at the hands of Daniel Sancho.

Inside the bags were found gloves, evidence bags and even a soft drink, among other utensils. A situation that draws our attention because, while in Spain homicide investigators take great care of something like this, in Thailand we see how anyone can loiter and have access to evidence of this type.
