Bárbara Rey pronounces on the accusation of seizure of assets: "I don't know why this has come out now"

Bárbara Rey is facing a possible imprisonment of three years for an alleged crime of seizure of property, according to the Madrid Prosecutor's Office. She is accused of being involved in a series of financial operations designed to create "a situation of economic defenselessness" and make it impossible to satisfy a debt with the Tax Agency for a total of 143,902.24 euros.

The Prosecutor's Office details thirteen operations in which the two sons of the accused, her sister and other people participated. The objective was to create an insolvency situation that would prevent the satisfaction of the debts claimed by the Tax Agency, since there were not enough assets to comply with the payment due to the insolvency situation generated by the defendants.

Despite the seriousness of the accusations, Rey remains calm and confident in the judicial process. "Very calm, without any kind of problem", she has commented to Europa Press. However, she has also pointed out that she cannot speak in detail about the case as it is in the hands of the courts. "We've been with this story for years, I don't know why this has come out now," she said.

Faced with media speculation, the vedette has insisted that the importance given to the news is exaggerated and, referring to its notoriety, has been blunt: "It seems that anything that comes out with my name has an impact... I didn't have to have existed". In the next few days, Rey plans to issue an official statement to clarify the situation.

The trial, which was scheduled for this Monday, June 19, has been postponed. Apparently, the reason is due to the absence of one of those investigated, whose whereabouts are currently unknown. However, the woman from Murcia has denied that the trial has been postponed due to the disappearance of a member of her family. All this will be corrected in her next statement.
