After the attack, the journalist spoke with Antonio García Ferreras, presenter of the news program, from a "calmer" area, and explained everything that had happened to the organizers of the agrarian protests.

The reporter said that she had suffered an attack by one of the farmers, who had hit the cameraman accompanying him. Lamela tried to carry out her work from a point in front of the Ministry of Agriculture, but she ran into a group of protesters who asked her to leave with shouts and rebukes, showing themselves very indignant at the treatment of the press regarding the situation that was taking place. living.

Lamela, fortunately, had the support of a citizen, who tried to prevent the situation from escalating. Of course, without success, because another of the protesters ended up attacking his partner, Luis de la Rosa, breaking his camera viewfinder.

Lamela manages to leave the area, as some protesters did nothing more than try to take away his microphone and cover the camera so that he could not do his job. "There are more than a hundred people, we are going to try to put ourselves in a quieter area," Lamela is heard saying.

Shortly after, the journalist connected with Ferreras from a calmer point. The police had closed the street half an hour later due to the incidents.

"You could hear cries of 'manipulative Spanish press' and mentioning our channel directly," the journalist later explained live, also confirming that her colleagues, Luis de la Rosa and Jesús Parrilla, were fine, although the camera's viewfinder was blurred. had broken during the attack.

Ferreras, however, brought out the positive side of the matter, with a forceful response to the aggressors: "It is an honor that fascists and characters with these characteristics consider us unrecommended characters," stated the LaSexta news director.
