Alfonso Arús predicts how Daniel Sancho's trial will end in Thailand

During the last few days, Daniel Sancho has become the undisputed protagonist of the social panorama and has once again occupied hundreds of media headlines around the planet.

After more than eight months in preventive detention, the trial against Rodolfo Sancho's son began on April 9 in Thailand. On this occasion, the legal procedure is especially important, since the young man could be sentenced to the death penalty or life imprisonment if the prosecution manages to convince the judge that Sancho acted with premeditation in the murder of Edwin Arrieta.

The young man's defense is clear that they are not going to accept this accusation and are working very hard to defend the theory that Sancho committed reckless homicide while acting in self-defense, the main reason why there would be no type of premeditation.

Today, Wednesday, April 17, the judicial procedure resumes after a break of several days due to the new Buddhist year that is celebrated in Thailand and other countries on the Asian continent.

Last week, the Aruser@s program echoed different aspects of the trial against the Spanish chef. There has been a lot of talk, both in this space and in others, about what the language barrier means, a problem that slows down each and every session.

It should be noted that the judge has prohibited the presence of the press in the court, which is why the case is gradually losing media interest. The presenter Alfonso Arús has reflected on this in his program and has shared his opinion with the viewers: ''I made a bet and I will not lose that, between now and the 25th, every day there will be less press, less interest... After it has emerged firstly, you can't talk, secondly, the lawyers fall asleep during the session and then they don't tell you the truth either because a Thai appears and who knows what he's telling you... well, in the end it turns out that the interest is minus four (. ..) You will end up with no one at the door.''

The personal opinion of the La Sexta worker collides directly with the great impact that the young man's trial is having in our country. Every day, the main television programs, newspapers and media dedicate spaces to talking about the subject, so, for now, interest has not visibly decreased.

It should also be said that the interview that Rodolfo Sancho gave to the HBO platform for the docuseries The Sancho Case fueled expectations about the situation of the accused, who still does not know what will happen to his future.
