Alcaraz keeps his promise to Sebastián Yatra and sings 'Vagabundo' in front of the US Open audience

Carlos Alcaraz dares with everything, even singing in front of the largest tennis stadium in the world. Before the public at the US Open, the Murcian was encouraged to sing some verses from the song Vagabundo by his friend Sebastián Yatra, thus fulfilling the promise he had made to the singer in the previous weeks.

After advancing to the second round due to the withdrawal due to injury of the German Dominik Koepfer, who sprained his left ankle in the first game of the match and left 6-2, 3-2 down after just 60 minutes, the current champion in New York asked him about the subject of Yatra, who was in the stands.

"It's a song that I listen to a lot," said Alcaraz, who then dared to sing several verses of the song and even dared to dance a little. While Yatra gave her approval with a thumbs up and a smile on her face.

The almost 24,000 attendees celebrated the daring of the Spanish tennis player and fired him with a standing ovation, which Alcaraz thanked.

The curious story of Alcaraz and Yatra dates back to a few weeks ago when the Murcian tennis player invited him in a video call to participate in an exhibition match in the days leading up to the US Open. The Colombian singer agreed to jump on the track with him but he put one condition: "You sing with me, at least the 'nananá'".

Alcaraz accepted. Last Wednesday Yatra formed a doubles pair with Alcaraz and they defeated the duo made up of tennis player Frances Tiafoe and NBA star Jimmy Butler. And this Tuesday she has had to sing a bit of Vagabond.
