Aaron Taylor-Johnson, the actor who sounds strong to be the new James Bond

Last Tuesday, The Sun newspaper published that British actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson, known for playing John Lennon in Nowhere Boy, is in the negotiation phase to become the next James Bond.

According to the media, the film production company Eon Productions (which has produced most of the films about the secret agent), offered the role to the young man to replace Daniel Craig, who said goodbye to said role in the year 2021 after launching No time to die.

The aforementioned newspaper has also indicated that Taylor-Johnson is expected to sign the contract in a matter of days and thus officially become the eighth actor to play the most famous spy in the film industry.

A reliable source confirmed to the newspaper that it is the young man who has the decision-making power right now: "Bond is a job for Aaron, in case he wants to accept it (...) The formal offer is on the table and they are waiting for to respond."

According to the information published by said media, people familiar with the situation have confirmed that the team is already working on a script for the next agent 007 film, which will be recorded at Pinewood Studios in the English county of Buckinghamshire. As has been learned, other high-level candidates were being considered to play James Bond: Cillian Murphy, Idris Elba, Henry Cavill or James Norton, among others.

A week ago, Numero magazine asked the 33-year-old actor about the rumors and whether he was interested in the role, a question to which the young man responded with total sincerity, but with an avoidant attitude: ''I find it charming and wonderful that people I saw myself in that role. "I take that as a great compliment."

Currently, there are 27 films about the spy (25 produced by Eon Productions, one by Columbia Pictures and another by Warner Bros), so there is great expectation to know who will be the next protagonist of the saga.

There is also great pressure from the followers of these films, since they have seen different actors act and are harsh when it comes to judging the protagonist. For the moment, the popular reception to the rumors that place the UK actor as James Bond has been good, we will have to wait for official confirmation to see the real social response to the news.
