A single man from 'First Dates' looks terrible in front of his date and gets a good blow: ''When you like someone, distance is not an excuse''

First Dates, the most romantic program on the small screen, closed its doors for another week. On Friday night, Carlos Sobera and Laura Boado welcomed a new batch of diners, who came to Cuatro's space with the hope of finding their better half.

Two of the great protagonists of the night were Ángela and Mariano. The 40-year-old single woman from Cadiz arrived at the restaurant claiming to be a very nice person, but with a lot of character. ''I can see everything with my eyes and face,'' she declared. In love she hadn't had much luck since she only knew guys for "one night stands" and she wanted a serious relationship. ''I usually have a very bad eye towards men,'' she confessed.

His date was going to be Mariano, a 42-year-old single from Seville, who claimed to be a nice, sincere, pleasant person and, above all, a good person. The first impression among the singles was very different. While Ángela was happy to meet the bachelor, Mariano had been disappointed. ''He has pretty eyes and he is a natural and normal boy,'' she said. ''I'm attracted to him a little bit, he's not a person who says uff... it's not much,'' he asserted.

After learning about their places of residence, Carlos Sobera accompanied the couple to their table, where the evening began. There, Angela confessed that she had two daughters, one 17 years old and the other 13 years old. ''I'm 42 years old and I was hoping to meet someone with children,'' the single man stressed. After divorcing the father of her daughters, the single woman had tried to meet people, but nothing ended up working out for her. And the single woman wanted to find stability with someone. Something the bachelor agreed with.

The date progressed and the singles became increasingly closer, to the point that they both noticed that they had a very similar sense of humor. ''For me, the best thing about Mariano is that he is just like me, spontaneous and mentally horny,'' she declared. ''We have the same jokes and the same way of speaking (...) It seemed like he knew her before,'' he commented.

But the good atmosphere among the singles disappeared from one moment to the next due to the bachelor's continuous excuses. And Mariano had not felt romantic chemistry with Ángela, so he decided to put a big wall between them, explaining that their relationship had no future due to the distance. ''If I'm looking for stability... I have it in Seville and if you were from Cádiz or...'' said the bachelor before the bachelor stopped him.

''Let's go see, Cádiz is further away than my house, Puerto de Santa María,'' she responded. ''She hasn't really liked me for a serious relationship and she has used the distance as an excuse,'' she said. Therefore, in the final decision there were no surprises and both were rejected due to lack of chemistry. But before leaving, Angela threw a dart at her date. ''When you like someone, distance is not an excuse,'' the single woman concluded.
