A Christian association denounces TV3 for the controversial parody of the Virgen del Rocío

It was on April 4 when the program Està Passant on TV3 made a satire on the image of the Virgen del Rocío that has crossed the screens. So much so that the most staunch sectors have cried out against this performance in the program presented by Toni Soler and Jair Domínguez.

In fact, the satire in which it was ironized that the Virgin does not go out in procession at Easter and joked about her sex life and her Andalusian accent has not been liked by everyone. Therefore, as a result of that moment, the Spanish Foundation of Christian Lawyers has filed a complaint against the presenters of the program.

Not only that. Also against the actress who pretended to be the Virgin for a possible crime of derision, despite the fact that now the judge must decide if he now admits her for processing or not. But the truth is that for this entity the reasons are considerable.

For them, it is "an attack against religious feelings carried out completely free of charge", and, furthermore, at "a very important time for Catholics such as Holy Week".

In order to justify themselves, they have turned to article 525.1 of the Penal Code, which establishes that "those who, in order to offend the feelings of members of a religious denomination, do publicly by word of mouth, by written or by means of any type of document, ridicule their dogmas, beliefs, rites or ceremonies, or vex, also publicly, those who profess or practice them”.

TV3's satire provoked various reactions against it, such as that of the president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, or that of the Federation of Andalusian Cultural Entities in Catalonia (FECAC), who demanded "public apologies" from Catalan public television.
