When thinking about countries that have become powerhouses in the automotive sector with impressive performance, Slovenia is not usually among the first options that come to mind. However, clichés are meant to be broken, and the time has come to pay attention to this Central European state with the arrival of its spectacular Aeon.
To begin with, it should be noted that it is an electrified hypercar that is offered in two variants, one pure electric and the other, a plug-in hybrid. In both cases, we are looking at two really light vehicles taking into account their characteristics, which means that they have a weight-power ratio capable of surprising.
The fully electric Aeon E delivers a power of no less than 2,535 HP and weighs 1,600 kg, which translates into an astonishing power-to-weight ratio, which is only 1.6:1. For now, not many technical details of the vehicle or its features have been made public, but with this level of strength, it is evident that its capacity in this field will be extraordinary.
For its part, the Tushek Aeon H (plug-in hybrid) is powered by a V8 engine that works together with an electric motor to achieve an overall power of 1,957 HP. It will have somewhat lower performance when compared to the electric Aeon E, but the weight-power ratio is even more ambitious (1.3:1) thanks to its greater lightness, since it weighs 1,480 kilograms.
As the manufacturer states, each vehicle will adapt to the user's needs to create a very direct link between their preferences and their car. And Tushek assures that when reserving the car, both the exterior and interior of the hypercar can be completely customized to ensure that each example is truly unique.
It should not be overlooked that the Aeon is not the first model conceived by the Slovenian brand. Also in its range is the TS 900, presented four years ago and equipped with a 4.2-liter V8 engine and two electric motors that manage to achieve a combined power of 963 HP and a torque of 1,400 Nm.
Weighing 1,410 kg, it is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 380 km/h and only needs 2.5 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h. If we look even further back we will see that Tushek's beginnings took place with the Renovatio T500, in 2012. It was a sports car with 450 HP generated by a 4.2-liter V8 engine.
The brand is named after its founder, former racing driver Aljosa Tushek, who assures that his Aeon is not intended to be just another electrified hypercar, but rather aims to dominate the segment.
