Amenitiz gana el Price Pyrenees

Amenitiz, a hotel solutions technology company, won last night the 23rd Prix Pyrénées awarded by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Barcelona. The three founders of Amenitiz –Emmanuelle Sanchez, Alexandre Guinefolleau and Frédéric Cadet– collected the award, which recognizes the commitment to Barcelona to undertake technology and the dynamism of a company that favors the digitalization of the hotel sector, one of the main economic drivers of Spain and France.

The director of La Vanguardia, Jordi Juan; the president of the Chamber, David Cabero; and the general director of the institution, Christian Marion, presented the award to Amenitiz.

The company, founded in Barcelona in 2017, currently has 10,000 clients (independent hotels) in 45 countries. Amenitiz employs 300 people in Barcelona of 30 different nationalities, of which 20% have a technological profile.

The jury - formed by representatives of the French Chamber, Foment del Treball, Pimec, Chamber of Barcelona and Grupo Godó - unanimously voted in favor of awarding Amenitiz in this edition of the award. As every year, BNP Paribas, Mazars, Veolia and La Roca Village sponsored the initiative.

The event, held at the Born Center Cultural venue, and attended by more than 200 personalities representing the Franco-Spanish economic world, was part of the celebration of the 140 years of founding of the French Chamber. It is the oldest French chamber institution abroad.

Founded in 1883 by French businessmen in Barcelona, the French Chamber wanted last night to highlight the historic entrepreneurial work of French citizens that they undertook in the city. And along these lines, the trajectory of three companies that were originally created by French citizens was recognized: Damm, founded in 1876; Cottet in 1902; and Ercros, whose founder, Amédée Cros, was the first president of the French Chamber in 1883. The awards were presented to the three presidents of these companies by Albert Batlle, third deputy mayor of Barcelona City Council, and Olivier Ramadour, consul general of France in Barcelona.

Prix Pyrénées has been awarded annually since 2000 with the aim of highlighting the work of a company, entity or person that, due to its activity and dynamism, has contributed to the development of relations between France and Spain.

In previous editions, Fluidra, Danone, Cellnex, Saica, Suez, Vente Privée and Credit Mutuel have received the award, among others.
