Winter beach afternoons in Sitges

The afternoon slowly declines in Sitges, in the Garraf region, while a soft sun caresses the skins of those who have approached the sand of the beach and of the bathers who, even recklessly, dare to enter the cold waters of the sea.

Always beautiful, Blanca Subur dedicates to us these last minutes of light of a dying day and invites us to return once again. The testimony and memory remains in these photographs that we see in La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos.

Sitges, close to the Garraf Natural Park, nevertheless lives facing its beaches, no more and no less than a total of 17 sandy beaches, also in winter.

To notice its essence, it is essential to take a walk through its white, cobbled streets of the old town, discovering its old sailors' houses marked with the blauet of Sitges and its Racó de la Calma. In winter, from the promenade there are moments to contemplate the sea and reflect following the sound of the waves.

The iconic parish church of San Bartolomé and Santa Tecla stands out in the landscape, as well as the Maricel Palace, a Noucentista mansion on the seafront, which opens the door to the Mediterranean.
