Why is it said that Girona falls in love?

They rightly say that Girona makes you fall in love, even if it is on cold and windy days like this week, when I captured this series of photographs for La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos.

The reflections of its colorful houses in the Onyar River, the cathedral, San Félix and the Jewish quarter. With this she already shines with her own light. Girona, a thousand times immortal.

The iconic Onyar Houses, built on the banks of this river, are very close to the cathedral and are one of the most photographed icons of Girona.

As can be seen in these images, thanks to the reflections generated in the river waters, they seem to multiply adding another note of color to the urban landscape of the city.

The Onyar River is a tributary of the Ter River. It originates in the Guilleries massif, in the pre-littoral mountain range, and enters the heart of Girona, forming part of its most characteristic landscape.

The Onyar crosses the city from south to north, dividing it into two unequal parts. The largest, the oldest, is on the right bank; and the smallest, the most modern, in continuous growth, is located entirely on the plain and in the Mercadal, on the left bank.
