First meeting of the Mazón government, first measure. Inheritance and donation taxes are over in the Valencian Community. It was one of the pillars on which the PPCV campaign revolved and it has been executed quickly. The collection figures and number of citizens affected by these taxes dismantle their raison d'être. In the first quarter of 2023, the number of Valencians who had to give up an inheritance for not being able to pay their taxes grew by 24%, 20,000 in total during the last legislature. If someone tries to continue defending that it is a tax to tax the rich, they should urgently look for another argument to defend that statement. Being rich is something else.
