Vox applauds the strategy of tightening the relationship with Mazón without breaking the Consell

Vox squeezes the PP, but does not suffocate. The president of the ultra formation in the province of Valencia, Ignacio Gil Lázaro, yesterday reinforced the position of the first vice president and Minister of Culture, Vicente Barrera, who on Tuesday called the media to make public his disagreements with a campaign by the Generalitat on the LGTBI collective.

"The positions made public by the first vice president or any of the other two Vox councilors are and will be those that Vox Valencia supports. Furthermore, they are made in terms of affirming their own criteria, but not putting at risk any situation of cooperation in the tasks of government." In this sense, Gil Lázaro reiterated that the intention of his formation is not to generate "instability" within the Consell. "We are not going to put the government at risk" to which he added a warning in the form of a tagline: "We hope that others will not either."

Along these lines, Gil Lázaro - one of the people with the most weight in the Vox structure and with a direct connection with Santago Abascal, which has allowed him to do and undo as he pleases in the province of Valencia - stressed that it will be his strategy. formation this legislature: "Vox can and should have its own initiatives, just as the PP can and should have its own initiatives."

Immediately afterwards, the powerful leader of Vox insisted on shielding the Government of the Generalitat, since neither the popular nor the Voxistas are interested in a fracture, beyond marking their own political profile that makes their voters not have the feeling of that being part of a coalition executive forces one to renounce principles.

Gil Lázaro made these statements in the constitution of the Provincial Political Commission, a newly created body (the national deputy was unable to clarify whether Alicante and Castellón will also implement it) whose purpose is to raise to the provincial leadership "those proposals, reports and analysis of the situation that it deems appropriate in relation to the political strategy of Vox Valencia".

A few days ago, after the Vox Coordinating Commission was established in the city of Valencia, a member of the group pointed out to this newspaper: "Gil Lázaro is an experienced politician and he has invented this commission that did not exist to keep everyone happy and leave clear who their trusted people are in the province. An argument that would be valid for this new structure.

The provincial commission that reinforces the role of the regional deputy Joaquín Alés who has been recruited by Gil Lázaro to be its coordinator. Also members of the commission are the spokesperson in Bétera, Helena Martínez; the provincial head of councilors and councilor of the Valencia City Council, Mónica Gil; the three councilors affiliated with Vox Valencia -Vicente Barrera, José Luis Aguirre and Elisa Núñez-; the autonomous deputies elected by the province of Valencia, the provincial deputies; the councilors of the Valencia City Council, the mayor of Nàquera and the spokespersons for the municipal groups in the City Councils of Alzira, Torrent, Sagunto, Gandia, Moncada, Xàtiva, La Pobla de Vallbona, Requena and Ontinyent.

The idea, Alés acknowledged, is to start working with an eye toward the 2027 municipal elections to be able to have a presence in the 266 municipalities of the province of Valencia.
