Fede Valverde's attack on Alex Baena on April 8 after a Real Madrid-Villarreal game at the Bernabéu already has a sanction proposal. The instructor in the case determined that the Uruguayan midfielder from Real Madrid deserves a five-match ban, which must now be ratified by the Competition Committee. The sanction will be official in the next 48 hours and will be fulfilled at the beginning of the next season.
Sources from Real Madrid assure that the club's legal services will appeal the suspension in both four and five games.
If the five games are confirmed, Valverde would miss the league games against Athletic Club, Almería, Celta, Getafe and Real Sociedad. The first three, away from home and the last two at the Bernabéu.
The incident took place in the vicinity of the Santiago Bernabéu parking lot, when Valverde approached Baena from behind and punched him in the face that caused the Andalusian a bruise.
