In the last week of the electoral campaign, the parties hone strategies, ingenuity and messages to try to get as far as possible. There are some, like Valents, who decides to campaign more than 600 kilometers from the municipality where he is seeking votes.
Hunting for all the possible votes —from Barcelonans who live in Madrid but have not registered in the capital, from tourists or those who go for work— or in a mere movement to emphasize their message and discourse, the team Valents' campaign has placed a propaganda poster in the Atocha station.
"Madrid steals our hearts. You who have had to go to Madrid to work, with Valents you will not notice the difference when you return to Barcelona," reads the party's tweet, in which it attaches its Trumpist-inspired campaign slogan "Barcelona big again."
