The Mossos d'Esquadra are investigating two monitors at the L'Olivera school in Vallirana as alleged perpetrators of sexual assaults on two minors. Police sources have detailed to the ACN agency that the force has received complaints this week from two families. There are currently no arrests.
The instructors at this educational center in Baix Llobregat are hired by the Fundació Fundesplai, whose managers meet this Wednesday to analyze the situation. According to sources from the Department of Education, the school has "cautiously" removed the two workers and has asked the company that provides the service to send new reinforcements.
The Ministry has made the Student Support Unit in Cases of Violence (USAV) available to the school management. This was announced this Wednesday by Educació, which has assured that the educational inspection "is monitoring the situation" that has occurred in the aforementioned center with the complaints.
The school management has informed the students' families that various protocols have been opened and has expressed understanding for the anguish that the parents have shown.
For its part, the Vallirana City Council issued a statement this Wednesday in which it shows a "firm rejection of any type of violence and aggression, especially those that affect children." The council reports that the school has communicated the activation of all the protocols established in the event of alleged cases of sexual assault and that the relevant actions have been initiated by the competent bodies.
The City Council asks for "respect" for the police actions of the Mossos Central Minors Unit and for the judicial process opened in order to guarantee the protection of all those affected. In addition, he adds that last Monday the Board of Spokespersons met in an extraordinary manner and that it was agreed to show support to the affected families, the management of the center and the AFA.
