The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested two people for three robberies with force in Vilanova de la Barca (Segrià). The events occurred around two-thirty in the morning last Saturday, when the police were alerted of an intrusion and manipulation in an electricity transformation center located in the town's VilaPark industrial estate.
A patrol left and saw a car quickly leave Lleida Street in the same industrial area. They managed to stop it on Alcoletge Street and after identifying the driver they saw that she had stripped copper cable in the trunk. Then they returned to the transformer centers and in one of them they found a man hiding inside the transformer.
The police verified that the two detainees had also broken into two other transformation centers in the same industrial estate. Both have criminal records and were brought before the Lleida investigative court on Sunday.
