Toulouse-Lautrec painting attacked with fake blood in Berlin

A new attack on a painting has occurred. This time, at the Alte National Galerie in Berlin. So far two women have come to throw fake blood on a canvas by the French Post-Impressionist painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.

At the moment, the author of the events is unknown and whether or not there are activists against the climate crisis behind it, as has happened on previous occasions. However, the modus operandi is quite similar because, according to a spokeswoman for the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation, a woman threw the liquid against the painting and then it hit the wall.

The painting in question has not suffered any mishap thanks to its protection. This has been stated by Hermann Patzinger, president of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation, who was "shocked by the senseless attack on art."

"As far as we know the painting was fortunately not seriously damaged but there has been damage in the exhibition room. The liquid and the glue have to be removed from the wall," Patzinger said.

While all this was happening, two women at the Natural History Museum glued themselves to the bars that support a dinosaur skeleton. The women were provisionally detained by the police.
