On these same pages, a few months ago we presented the camper version of the electric Opel Zafira, still in the prototype phase, which the Crosscamp experts had turned into a model to enjoy weekend getaways with some comforts typical of motorhomes.

However, the German manufacturer has recently launched a line of large campers that retains the multifunctional spirit of its smaller models with a larger living space. The new Flex 541 model stands out as the most versatile and adaptable in the series, allowing the transformation from a cargo van to a modern beach bungalow for two or four people. You can also have a daily use vehicle role.

This new range of large campers is based on the Opel Movano, a larger van (5.41 meters long) compared to previous models. This circumstance provides a more comfortable living space.

One of the main features of the Flex 541 is its flexible and versatile interior. Users can configure the interior design of the camper in 14 different ways, installing the modular equipment according to their needs.

Instead of placing a folding rear bed on the side of the vehicle, Crosscamp has placed a double bed in the center of the front of the camper. It folds up against the wall to clear the floor. In this way you can take advantage of the space to store objects. In addition, the camper can transport a motorcycle or several bicycles; For this, it has anchor points to secure the load.

The single floor plan of the Flex 541 combines bathroom, closet and open kitchen at the rear of the camper. The toilet is attached to the roof and floor of the van via tie-down points, creating a shower space that can be used both indoors and outdoors. All this equipment can be easily removed to free up cargo space or to install a wardrobe.

The galley occupies much of the passenger side wall and is equipped with a table, two gas burners, a sink and a 70-litre fridge mounted on a fixed console at the rear. The additional space is used for the storage of other items, such as a fresh water tank, kitchen utensils and tableware.

The Flex 541 is offered as a standard two-person van, but an optional pop-up roof with an extra bed can be added to accommodate up to four people maximum. Rear seats that fold down to allow installation of the lower bed can also be added.

The Flex 541 comes equipped with a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that offers power options of 120, 140, or 165 hp. Although it doesn't have all-wheel drive, it has an off-road look with off-road wheels and a front-mounted LED strip. In addition, an intelligent modular battery system is offered as an option that provides up to five days of autonomy with solar panels.
