This is how PSG received Messi on his return to training

Leo Messi was received as a hero on his return to Paris. The captain of Argentina joined the training sessions of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) this Wednesday, where he was received in style by his teammates after being crowned world champion with Argentina in the World Cup in Qatar.

His teammates received him with a standing ovation and lined up in a large hallway made up of all the club's players and workers who applauded the Argentine after his World Cup successes. The only thing missing was Mbappé, another World Cup player who is in the United States enjoying a few days off.

Messi returned to train with PSG this Wednesday one day after arriving in the French capital from Argentina, where he had taken a few days off after the victory with his team at the World Cup in Qatar.

PSG showed a short video of Messi on his Twitter account this morning upon his arrival at the training center and a photo in which he was greeted by Neymar, another of the club's stars.

The one he did not find among his teammates was the other great protagonist of the World Cup final between France and Argentina, Kylian Mbappé, who, although he resumed training only three days later, has now taken a vacation and is in the United States.

Messi (35 years old) landed this Tuesday afternoon at Le Bourget airport, north of Paris, with a private plane in which he was accompanied, in particular, by his wife, Antonela Roccuzo, and their children, Mateo, Thiago and Cyrus.

The Argentine is the last of the players who participated in the World Cup to return to PSG training, which has to play a French Cup match in Châteauroux on Friday and then on Wednesday next week with the next match of the French league against Angers. It is then when it is believed that Messi could return to play with his team.

He has not been the only Argentine who has experienced a warm reception from his club upon his return from the World Cup. Alexis Mac Allister returned to work with Brigthon yesterday and all his colleagues and workers from the Premier club are waiting for him to receive him with cheers and applause. The Argentinian thanked everyone by greeting everyone one by one and even received a replica of the World Cup in a spectacular recreation of the trophy delivery ceremony between two large cannons of white, blue and gold confetti.

Similar receptions have also been seen in recent days to other albicelestes such as Exequiel Palacios (Bayern Leverkusen), Nicolás Tagliafico (Lyon), Julián Álvarez (Manchester City) or Lisandro Martínez (Manchester United), among others.
