This is how newspapers around the world have collected the victory of Messi's Argentina in the World Cup

The world media show on their front pages the conquest of the Argentine National Team in the Qatar 2022 World Cup after beating France on penalties.

"Messi, the best in history". This is the headline with which Mundo Deportivo opens its cover, the dean of the Spanish sports press, with an image of the Argentine star kissing the World Cup.

In this Monday's edition of 'La Vanguardia' the headline and the photo are for the albiceleste's 10: "Messi already has his World Cup", is the title chosen for the front page of the Grupo Godó newspaper.

The Argentine sports newspaper Olé headlines: "Lios is Argentine".

The digital edition of the Argentinean Clarín opens its cover in style with an unequivocal: "Argentina world champion" and a very eloquent epigraph: "The happiness of a country".

Probably the only newspaper in the world that does not put Messi on its cover is the French L'Equipe, which dedicates its photo to Mbappé and headlines: "With my head held high."

Also in France, the newspaper Le Figaro headlines: "After a legendary final, Argentina dethrones France with a heroic Mbappé."

In Brazil, the Folha de Sao Pablo newspaper puts on its cover a photo of the Argentine captain celebrating the first goal. "Messi wins the cup, Messi wins the cup," he headlines on his page. And he describes the "dramatic final with France" defined with the kicks from the penalty spot.

"Messi shines and Argentina is three-time Cup champion in a dramatic match", is the main headline of the Brazilian sports newspaper Bola.

The O Globo chain calls Argentines "brothers" and dedicates the opening of its web edition to them. "ARGENTINA TRICHAMPION: 'Hermanos' beat France in a historic final", they headline.

Both El Tiempo, from Colombia, and El Comercio, from Peru, made a wide display dedicated to the Argentine National Team on their websites.

"Messi crowns himself! Argentina dethroned France on penalties," reads the main headline for half-German Kicker.

The sports newspaper 'Marca', in Spain, goes with the following headline: "MesSí albiCelestial".

"In heaven", headlines 'Ace'.

El País talks about "a crazy match" and headlines "Messi's Argentina wins the World Cup against France".

The cover of 'El Mundo' is as follows.

Corriere dello Sport also highlights the triumph of "La Argentina de Messi" and recalls that the Argentine captain lifted the World Cup like Diego Maradona. In its paper edition, it is titled: "MaraDoha".

La Gazzetta dello Sport also surrenders to the team captain and headlines: "MaraMessi" in its digital edition and "Messi, the foot of God" in its paper edition.

The English Daily Mail crowned Messi as king of the world, in addition to noting that it was one of "the most dramatic finals in history".

"Argentina in dreamland! Lionel Messi, 35, FINALLY lifts the World Cup trophy after an inspiring victory over France in a thrilling penalty shootout after one of the most dramatic finals ever ", they stated.

But in the UK a cap broke the mold for Messi. It was from the tabloid newspaper The Sun.

"In the hand of God", titled the British media -in a reference to two bands- and finished off: "Finally Messi wins his holy grail".

With "The GOAT (Greatest of all time)", the sports supplement of 'The Mirror' headlines its cover.

The New York Times opened its web edition on Sunday with the triumph of the National Team. "Argentina defeats France on penalties to claim a long-awaited title", headlines the prestigious American newspaper.
