Toledo, 59 minutes by car from Madrid, was the political capital of Spain this Saturday, since in this province the Government, on the one hand, met in an informal meeting, and, on the other, the team of leadership of the Popular Party.
Pedro Sánchez has convened his ministers at a location owned by the State, on the Quintos de Mora farm, in Los Yébenes, where he has already held at least two more meetings of this type. This is a more informal meeting than the meetings of the Council of Ministers held in the Moncloa, in which a sharing is carried out and the priorities of the legislature will be pointed out. Furthermore, the meeting, which has already been on the ministers' agenda for weeks, serves to help the holders of some portfolios get to know each other a little better. In fact, the Executive is barely two months old and some of the ministers have not even had the opportunity to have a conversation.
The leader of the PP, for his part, has gathered his team since last Thursday and until this Saturday in a cigarral in Toledo with the purpose of planning the party's strategy in this legislature in which they plan to mount a “forceful, serious, realistic and close to the terrain.” In this popular summit with Albero Núñez Feijóo at the helm, some of the new names incorporated into the leadership participate, such as Carmen Fúnez, head of organization; Paloma Martín, who heads the sustainable development area; Ana Alós, for equality; Ester Muñoz, who directs the health and education area; and Noelia Núñez, who has been in charge of the areas of mobilization and digital challenge. Among the objectives of the meeting, the preparation of the new demonstration called by the PP on the 28th.
