The River Ter can be seen with a better flow as it passes through Manlleu, in Osona. We have gone from the persistent drought to implementing tasks to clean the accumulated sediments in its channel in anticipation of possible floods with the latest rains, as can be seen in this report in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia.

Sediment is a solid material accumulated on the earth's surface derived from the actions of phenomena and processes that act in the atmosphere, in this case, rain.

The Ter river is loaded on its way to the Sau reservoir, which receives with open arms all this flow that goes down to the reservoir, which has already exceeded 20% of its capacity and is increasing day by day after being the image of the drought in Catalonia.

The Ter rises in Ulldeter at 2,480 meters of altitude, at the foot of a glacial cirque in the Pyrenean region of Ripollès, very close to the town of Setcases.

This river is very important in the history of the development of the towns of Osona through which it passes, especially with regard to industry.
