The Valencian company calls for less bureaucracy and taxation that "facilitates investment in R&D"

Those responsible for the Fundación LAB Mediterráneo explained yesterday in Valencia what they have done so far since 2021, what they are doing and what they plan to come. But above all they showed the interest of the Valencian company -LAB was born promoted by the Valencian Association of Entrepreneurs, AVE- to improve innovation and research in the business sector. "It is important that more companies are created, encourage the creation of startups and that we attract more companies, that there is that 'tractor effect'," said Héctor Dominguis, businessman and president of the LAB Mediterráneo Foundation.

Nor did Dominguis want to forget the nod to the Ministry of Education in his claims, as he requested that "the educational model generates a business vocation and that it bet on English as the reference language for entrepreneurship." Follow the idea promoted for a long time on AVE, seasoned with controversy after Podem's criticism of figures such as Juan Roig in the middle of the electoral campaign. "That the new Administration believes in the businessman as the main value that generates wealth," Dominguis prayed.

The analysis of its evolution will be made from a new Observatory created expressly to analyze how the Valencian entrepreneurial sector evolves. "We know that there is a gap between the RD of universities and the RD of companies, because we need more researchers who become entrepreneurs and more businessmen who bet on research," Dominguis warned.

Likewise, as a reference for the innovative Valencian model, the LAB Foundation does not rule out collaborations with other regions and seeks references in other latitudes. That is why they are planning a trip to Silicon Valley in November and the broadcast of a 12-episode podcast that will speak to businessmen, but also researchers and writers, among others. The entity has more than twenty patrons and a budget of around 800,000 euros.
