The University of Seville, after being aware of a complaint against one of its professors from the Faculty of Geography and History who is accused of inciting drug consumption, sexualizing students, treating students in a humiliating manner and threatening with "retaliating with accusations of plagiarism" to those who reported these facts, has opened an investigation into the case.
Social networks have been, once again, the loudspeaker of these complaints, expressed on the internet anonymously but which have served to put the focus on the situation that university students have been experiencing.
According to eldiario.es, the professor, assigned to the Department of Prehistory and Archaeology, is being investigated by the University of Seville, which has assured that "before the posters came out" there was already "knowledge" of the events and, For this reason, it had already initiated "a confidential information procedure."
The facts have been reported anonymously on social networks. Given this, the University of Seville has argued that "it is aware of this complaint and has initiated an investigation to clarify the veracity of the facts."
"In accordance with the applicable regulations, said investigation is being carried out with due respect for the rights of the people involved and affected and will be processed as quickly as possible in compliance with the Law," the sources consulted have added.
