It was one of the most anticipated games of the Summer Game Fest and it has not disappointed. Alan Wake 2, the new title from the Finnish studio Remedy Entertainment that will go on sale on October 17, has been shown in a video with gameplay images at the Summer Game Fest.
As can be seen in this new fragment, the sequel to Alan Wake will maintain the action and mystery of the original title, but will enhance its most terrifying facet. It will also put players in the shoes of a new character, FBI agent Saga Anderson, who stars in this new video.
Sam Lake, the game's designer and writer, has taken the stage to highlight that this will be the studio's first true horror game. He has also detailed that the player will be able to switch between the two characters as the story progresses, which will again revolve around writer Alan Wake and his attempt to escape the nightmare in Brightfalls.
Alan Wake 2 will be the sequel to the title originally published in 2010. This continuation will reach more output platforms, as it will be available for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
The Summer Game Fest event is taking place at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles. The presentation organized by Canadian journalist and producer Geoff Keighley features news from more than 40 companies in the sector.
