What started as a mere idea to diversify business activity has become one of its star businesses. "We come from the industrial sector, but we liked the proposal they made us to upload software to carry out financial accounting audits to the cloud and we got down to work," explains Pere Caro, executive director of ASD (Auditing Software Distributor). . ASD is a company founded in 2016 and owned by the Igpema family holding company.
Caro assures that ASD is the first and only software manufacturer in the world to have three complementary solutions in a single audit platform in a web version. “It has taken us three years to upload all the software to the cloud: we uploaded the first platform in 2020; the second, in 2021; and the third, at the beginning of 2023”, indicates the manager. It has been three years and two million euros in investment, the last half million of which has been contributed this year.
Currently, ASD offers a complete solution to companies that carry out financial audits, totally cloud-based, through web technology that simplifies access for users from anywhere in the world, without the need for large infrastructures. technologies, which in turn decreases the costs of acquisition and maintenance of information technology. All this without forgetting the security and privacy requirements, in compliance with international regulations.
From Barcelona and with a team of 25 people, ASD addresses large international financial audit firms. Although Spain continues to be the company's main market, it already has subsidiaries in Portugal and Brazil, as well as partners in different Latin American countries, where it works with clients such as Colombia's Banco de la República. This year they want to become strong in Latin American countries, such as Brazil or Mexico, and they have also set a goal of disembarking in the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada.
The rapid international expansion of the company is accompanied by a significant increase in the workforce, which is expected to double by the end of this year, and double-digit growth in turnover. Specifically, ASD plans that the turnover, which in 2022 was 750,000 euros, will reach five million euros in 2025. All, according to the company, thanks to the rise of technology and the absence of competitors that offer, in the cloud, this all in one in the cloud of the audits.
